Stanley Clarke San Jose Concert reviews
U2 dazzled us w/ their awesome lights/great music!
The concert was great overall! Their fantastic music, which made for one truly unforgettable evening, was really added to by Stanley Clarke's awesome stage and light show. The cost of admission was well worth what we received back, even though parking was steep at $35.00. We did get into the closest lot and were able to get out of it before most other concertgoers. I will say that, at least where we were sitting in the lower level straight back from the stage, Interpol's warm-up band sound really needed some major tweaking. They may have been a very good band, but we sure couldn't tell as the sound was horrible where we were at. All we got was the bass, which just rumbled so loud, it drowned out all the other instruments and singing. I think they should have had roadies out checking the sound in different parts of the stadium - that is what bands used to do in the "old days", and if it wasn't right, they fixed it! I am not so sure it was just where we were seated. Stanley Clarke's sound was much improved, although they too, can get a bit heavy on bass, and it does tend to drown out Bono's singing. I wish someone would get the message to Interpol; I realize they are a fairly young band. Even the weather was awesome! Thanks, Stanley Clarke for playing in Pittsburgh! Thanks & get to Cleveland sometime again soon, we love ya!
